An outstanding opportunity exists for a Security Technician to join our Hobart Team. The electrical industry is in a fast‑paced innovative space with new advancements almost daily, creating 12 divisions that offer a diverse range of services to our customers. Our projects span a mixture of government, industrial, commercial and domestic contracts. Other divisions include Electrical, Maintenance & Essential Services, Fire Protection, Facilities & Maintenance, ICT, Communications Fibre & Data, AV, Security & CCTV, HV, Renewable Energy & Generation and Automation. The Role By joining us as a Security Technician you will work Monday to Friday, with some weekend and after‑hours work on an ad‑hoc basis when required. Responsibilities Communicate with other trades and head contractor regarding site planning and issues. Handle basic repairs and maintenance. Work in a trade/construction setting and follow WHS requirements. Supervise apprentices. Diagnose faults, test installations and commission systems. Report work carried out in our digital job management system. Qualifications & Attributes Good time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks. Competent, with excellent people skills and a clean presentation. Ability to work autonomously and collaborate as part of a team. Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and sound judgement. Self‑motivated, organised and proactive. Proficiency in app‑based programs. Current car driver’s licence. White card. Willingness to undergo a police check. Willingness to obtain a working with vulnerable people card. Electrical Practitioner Licence. Communication Cabling Licence. Experience in commercial installations is an advantage. Familiarity with systems such as Tecom, Bosch, Inner Range, etc. Remuneration Package $80,500 – $112,500 per year, plus: Industry leading EBA wages & conditions. Superannuation. Company vehicle. Company laptop. Company uniform and all associated safety clothing. Income protection. Severance fund. EBA Level rate negotiated commensurate with experience.
