Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Quezon City, Philippines , with potential travel to Australia (Travancore, VIC) as required for collaboration and project development. The Legal Innovation / LegalTech Lawyer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of AI‑driven legal solutions , including AI Legal Compliance Tools, Legal Robotics, and AI Lawyers . The position blends deep legal expertise with emerging technologies to modernize legal service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the firm’s digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic legal consulting across MLaw’s innovation and technology initiatives. Draft, review, and automate legal documents using AI‑assisted systems. Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and external partners to develop AI tools for compliance, risk management, and document automation. Conduct legal research and analysis on data privacy, AI governance, and cross‑border regulatory frameworks in Australia and the Philippines. Support MLaw’s digital transformation roadmap, ensuring technological solutions align with legal ethics and professional standards. Participate in pilot programs and testing of AI‑based legal applications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or JD); admission to practice law in Australia or the Philippines is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in legal analysis, document preparation, and regulatory compliance . Strong interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence, LegalTech, or digital transformation . Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Adaptability, creativity, and a collaborative mindset. Passion for driving transformative change in the legal profession through innovation.
