About the role The Emergency Department is a state‑of‑the‑art trauma centre situated in the CBD of Sydney with over 55,000 patients presenting each year. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a key leadership role within the Emergency Department dedicated to advancing the knowledge, skills and professional development of nursing and clinical staff ensuring they have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence. Instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous learning, the CNE ensures that patient care is consistently delivered at the highest possible standard. Through leadership in education and contribution to policy development and promotion of evidence‑based practice, you will help shape the Emergency Department as a learning organisation. Responsible for ensuring that the education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence. About you Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. Relevant clinical post‑graduate qualifications and a minimum of 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to your qualifications or four years post‑registration experience, including three years experience in the relevant specialist field. Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months of employment. Demonstrated knowledge of innovative education tools and strategies, including e‑learning. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the inter‑disciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills at all times. About the hospital In this role you will be based at St Vincents Hospital Darlinghurst.
