Enrolled Nurse Opportunities Available In: Emergency Department – Adults and Paediatric (Start May 2026) Medical Inpatient Unit (start from early 2026) Paediatric Inpatient Unit (start from May 2026) Surgical Inpatient Unit (start from early 2026) Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Enrolled Nurses to join us in a mixture of full-time and part-time roles. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. Salary range: $35.92 - $38.21 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits What you’ll be doing Utilising a structured approach carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients in a variety of settings and maintains communication about the results of those assessments with the Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM). Within scope of practice, implement planned evidence-based nursing interventions as delegated and in collaboration with the RN/RM. Evaluates the effectiveness of their nursing interventions in achieving predicted outcomes in collaboration with the RN/RM. Initiates effective discharge planning processes as delegated by the RN/RM. Educates patients using relevant resources to maintain and promote health as delegated by the RN/RM. Acts as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to treatment, investigation and management as appropriate and assists/negotiates sensitively with patients where there may be barriers to understanding. About you You will have a minimum of 12 months full time experience in the relevant area as an Enrolled Nurse: Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions) High level of communication skill including the ability to relate with elder patients in a dignified and respectful manner The ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy, multidisciplinary team environment The successful applicant will be self-motivated, self-starter who can work collaboratively with other speciality representatives to achieve a common goal.
