Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) and relevant post‑registration qualifications (sexual health, family planning, women’s health, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency nursing) with at least three years’ experience in the clinical area of your postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the organisation. Completed, working towards or willing to undertake NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence Graduate Certificate in the Medical and Forensic Management of Adult Sexual Assault (or equivalent). Demonstrated competencies in providing nursing care within a multidisciplinary team and commitment to integrated psychosocial, medical and forensic responses to people experiencing violence, abuse and neglect. Demonstrated commitment to service development and quality improvement, including ability to initiate change, negotiate support from stakeholders and coordinate clinical audit activities. Ability to provide high‑quality, trauma‑informed and culturally safe care to clients who have experienced violence, abuse and neglect and may present as highly distressed. Highly developed clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning with ability to provide a referral service as required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills enabling collaborative work with colleagues, other health professionals and individuals to provide safe and effective care. Clinical expertise in client consultancy with ability and willingness to work autonomously, accept responsibility and prioritise work practices. Evidence of a current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence and willingness to provide outreach throughout the Far West LHD, including willingness to drive long distances with occasional overnight stays.
