A role with unique responsibilities
Our Cryostorage Coordinator will play a significant role at Repromed. You will be responsible for the management of patient cryogenically stored sperm, eggs and embryos, and all associated administrative tasks. With exceptional patient care, underpinned by compassion and the highest attention to detail, you will directly enhance the patient experience. Under guidance of the Laboratories Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Communication with patients who have sperm, eggs and/or embryos in cryostorage by mail/email and phone.
- Responding to patient enquiries regarding their frozen eggs, sperm and/or embryos in an efficient and compassionate manner.
- Recording and maintaining cryostorage and customer communication data.
- As per policy, managing storage limits of sperm, eggs and/or embryos in SA and NT.
- Coordinating storage extensions, consents or disposal of stored sperm, eggs and/or embryos and ensuring that accurate documents are sent to the scientists so that items are disposed of in accordance with legislation and Repromed policy
- As required, preparing storage reports and other adhoc reports
- Being alert to, and proactive in exploring and implementing opportunities for improvement.
Are you the ideal candidate for us?
Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, our cryostorage coordinator will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will support their wellbeing through timely and considered communication. Ideally you will bring the following:
- Exceptional administrative skills and ability to follow complex checklists/procedures.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills (written and verbal).
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills – Word, Excel, OneNote etc.
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail.
- An ability to resolve issues and solve day to day operational problems.
- A willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across other departments.
- Ability to set priorities, time management and meet deadlines.
- Police check.
- Prior experience in medical administration, healthcare or quality control (desirable).
