Mechanical Design Engineer

As part of this role, you will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week 4 days in the office, 1 day home based.
The Senior Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineers will be responsible for:
Designing transmission systems and componentsDeveloping or re-engineering existing designs for new applications, test equipment.Interpreting and comprehending customer specifications and standards, including geometric tolerancingCollaborating with and supporting team members in adjacent disciplines, such as Analysis & Development, and leading tasks on assigned projectsCreating deliverable documentation, including proposals, manuals, installation and maintenance instructionsGenerating component and assembly drawings, and checking technical documentationHandling BOM and gear data generation, as well as engineering change control processingProviding technical liaison and problem-solving with other teamsTo be successful in this role, we are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with:
Previous experience in a similar/relevant roleUnderstanding of product design and analysis methodsKnowledge of Machinery Safety regulations and requirementsFamiliarity with manufacturing techniquesGeneral awareness of the operating systems of an engineering businessCommercial awareness, understanding the need for cost-effectiveness in solutionsAbility to work effectively in a small team with minimal supervisionPreferred experience in rotating equipment designThis position offers a great opportunity to join the global experts in engineered mechanical power transmissions for all industries.
