Academic Lead, Experiential Learning Position: Academic Lead, Experiential Learning (Education Focused)Organisation: UNSW – Division of Education & Student ExperienceLocation: Kensington NSW (Hybrid Flexible Working) – Based in Australia Employment Type: Part‑time (28‑hour week), other part‑time arrangements considered.Duration: Continuing role.Remuneration: Level C $155,000 to $178,000 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. The Academic Lead, Experiential Learning will lead the academic curriculum and teaching operations of Experiential Learning in the Employability team within the Pro Vice‑Chancellor Student Success (PVCSS) portfolio. This will involve designing and delivering Experiential Learning courses, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Career Development (CDEV) courses. The role will work closely with the Head of Employability and, in collaboration with Faculties and Schools and other key university and external stakeholders and partners, scale the opportunities for Experiential Learning at UNSW. Responsibilities Lead academic curriculum design and delivery for Experiential Learning courses, including WIL and CDEV.Collaborate with the Head of Employability, Faculties, Schools, industry and government partners to expand Experiential Learning opportunities.Ensure quality teaching, assessment and student support in line with UNSW standards.Use educational technologies for online and hybrid delivery methods.Develop inclusive practices that support diverse student backgrounds and equity initiatives. Qualifications PhD in a related discipline or comparable work experience, with a record of outstanding achievement in a university setting and contributions to learning and teaching. Experience designing and delivering Experiential Learning, including WIL courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels – preferred. Evidence of teaching effectiveness, passion for educational excellence, and ability to foster the same in others. Demonstrated experience working with industry, government and social sector organisations and developing teaching practice for self and others. Experience collaborating with non‑academic staff to build and drive strategic outcomes, with strong communication, planning and organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders for successful outcomes. Experience implementing educational technologies and online/hybrid delivery methods. Capacity to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and champion equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Collaborative working experience with academics and professional staff at all levels. Pedagogical expertise in curriculum development, course and program design, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
