What You\'ll be doing Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee. To be available to work 0.7FTE from October/November 2025 to 05 December 2025, then 0.9FTE effective from 08 December 2025 until October/November 2026. Where You'll Be Working Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, pediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds. The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. Qualifications Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice. Specifically to have significant experience in the field of Brain Injury Rehabilitation and at a consultant level. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development. Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level. Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster, to increase hours of work to cover leave vacancies. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
