Role: Road Freight Planner Location: Tamworth Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 + Super + Bonus GrainCorp helps connect rural communities with food, animal feed, and industrial customers around the world as we lead in sustainable agriculture. Overview This is an opportunity to play a part in GrainCorp’s supply chain story by planning all operational aspects, including contract and order management, scheduling, timeslots, and road freight provider management. Responsibilities Plan and execute freight scheduling to meet current and future demand of internal stakeholders and customers Manage third-party bulk handling networks and/or ex-farm execution orders Perform administration for customer order execution, including delivery confirmations and reconciliations when required Engage in execution planning activities, including vehicle management, cost monitoring, delivery tracking, and review of load plans with clients for campaigns Maintain master data in systems for contractors, sites, customers and order processing Experience and qualifications Candidates will have prior administrative experience, ideally in logistics or supply chain. Technical skills should include intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems and technologies. Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder management skills are also important. Relevant industry experience, ideally bulk focused Product knowledge including commodity specifications, supply chain planning, end-user customer requirements, freight, grain markets, arbitrage, and trade rules Experience in customer management and influencing skills across multiple stakeholders Ability to manage tasks with ambiguity to make customer and operational decisions in a timely manner Proficiency with CoR regulations including CoR awareness training and basic fatigue management What we offer Hybrid work and flexible leave options including birthday leave Family Inclusive Workplace accreditation, supporting balance, care and flexibility How to apply The next steps are easy.
