Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $30 - $38 per hour About the Role: Warm weather is just around the corner so we’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista and/or All‑Rounder to join our team at The Nook on Hopkins. This is a casual position with a minimum of 25 hours per week, with the potential for a permanent role for the right person. As a barista and all‑rounder, you'll be responsible for making great coffee, serving customers with a smile, and helping keep the café running smoothly. You’ll be part of a small, hands‑on team where everyone pitches in. Our café has an open service area, so being tidy, clean and hygienic at all times is a must. What we are looking for: Previous barista or café experience is preferred, but we're happy to train someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Excellent customer service and communication skills. A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, can‑do attitude. Confidence working in a fast‑paced environment. A genuine interest in coffee, food, and hospitality. A commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. Must be available to work at least one day on the weekend. Key Responsibilities: Prepare high‑quality coffee and drinks consistently. Take orders, serve customers, and handle payments. Assist with basic food preparation and general cleaning. Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming front‑of‑house area. Support kitchen staff and fellow team members as needed. Ensure excellent customer experiences from start to finish.
