Cumberland City Council owns and operates four (4) Aquatic Centres and two (2) Fitness facilities across the LGA which provide recreational services to our community.In contributing to the overarching vision, the Pool Lifeguard will assist the Aquatic Operations Supervisor to provide patrons and hirers of Cumberland City Council Aquatic Centres with high-quality customer service and a clean, safe, friendly and well-presented facility. This is achieved through the effective supervision and evaluation of Councils aquatic facilities to ensure safety, quality and professional operation that exceeds industry standards.The Successful Applicant Will RequireCurrent Working with Children Check (WWCC) Current Pool Lifeguard Licence Current First Aid & CPR Certificate High level of interpersonal and customer service skills Download the position description here for more information.About This RoleCasual Positions Located at Council's Swim Centres, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.Grade 3 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $30.38 to $37.22 per hour (plus casual loading), plus 12% superannuation Weekend penalty rates apply in accordance with the Local Government Award The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role What You'll Need To Have For This RoleThe right to live and work in Australia Be able to provide information for pre-employment checks required for the position, including attending a physical pre-employment medical examination as required Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Council’s Health Monitoring Procedure, as required Provide evidence of your vaccination status as part of the employment screening process, in accordance with Council’s COVID-19 Vaccination Procedure.
