THE POSITION The Process Engineer is primarily responsible for undertaking all required engineering activities to support manufacturing according to cGMP and company standard operating procedures. The Process Engineer will assist participate in improving existing mechanical systems, developing new process concepts and prototypes, designing and testing mechanical and electronic systems, and developing various automated systems. He will also participate in the commission of new manufacturing equipment in Parnell Manufacturing from defining the process characterization during design phase to the continuous process verification phase during the manufacturing operations. To be successful as a Process Engineer, you should be able to work within demanding timeframes and develop original, practical solutions to problems and continuous improvement. ABOUT YOU A Team player who is both focused on success and has ability to work independently and own their role Advanced written and verbal communication skills and a strong aptitude to prioritise your work Strong adherence to Continuous Improvement and solutions-based thinking RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Ensure that all manufacturing equipment and processes comply with FDA, ISO and cGMP requirements. Participate in the introduction of new manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsible for automated systems and software development. Develop or improve PLC programming for automated systems used in production. Create CAD drawings for mechanical designs and production line improvements. Identify areas of weakness in the production line or finished products and making recommendations for driving continuous improvement. Understand problems and developing solutions that satisfy them. Establish Process Characterization (Critical process parameters (CPP), Process performance range, control points strategy). Develop PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects analysis) for the Manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain metrics to trend Key Process Parameters to monitor and improve performance of the Manufacturing process. Perform Statistical Analysis to control and verify process performance, assess if the processes remain in a state of control and continuously suggest improvements. Support Production and Quality to maintain continuous manufacturing including updating procedures, participating in some tasks when requested in manufacturing. WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Any Science degree or B.S. degree in Engineering 2 years of relevant work experience Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills Support and Develop manufacturing processes Experience in working in a sterile pharmaceutical environment would be advantageous Ability to work as part of a team or independently Ensure a data driven, innovative and hands on culture and effective problem-solving approach Comply with all systems, processes and procedures in line with Statutory/ Legislative/ Quality requirements Develop knowledge in process continuous monitoring and improvement Parnell Manufacturing is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
