You will be responsible for the engineering, configuring, testing, commissioning and maintenance of communications systems used for tele‑protection, SCADA and other operational requirements in the Evoenergy electrical network. Key responsibilities Design, configure, integrate, and test communications systems for substation automation and tele‑protection, distribution automation, and embedded generation projects. Support field staff with installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of communications systems. Develop specifications and manage procurement for communications systems and related devices, including asset augmentation and renewal projects. Contribute to strategy and standards by assisting in defect resolution, engineering processes, and asset‑specific planning for communications systems. Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training. Qualifications and experience Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or related discipline. Knowledge of communications systems, including: Industrial control system protocols such as IEC61850, DNP3 and Modbus Cyber‑security risks and mitigations Integrating control systems The ability to work as part of a collaborative team to deliver solutions and outcomes.
