Cadets are employed to accommodate the commitments required by their studies while gaining pre-registration exposure to the workplace. The cadet contributes to a 7-day Occupational Therapy service delivery model within Caboolture Hospital under the allocation and practice supervision of an Occupational Therapist in the provision of effective patient care. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Actively continues to pursue prerequisite education and training necessary to build competency in Occupational Therapy, working towards completion of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy. Perform basic duties under the direction and clinical practice supervision of Occupational Therapists, with the quality of work output closely assessed. Provides a defined range of patient assessments as allocated by the Occupational Therapist and work under their supervision. Undertake supported clinical reasoning and provide recommendations for care planning as confirmed or modified by the supervising occupational therapist to allocate subsequent clinical activities.
