Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber.Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex.Salary / Benefits: £24k – £35k + Training + Benefits. Our client is a multi-disciplined Environmental Consultancy who specialise in the delivery of Water Hygiene / Legionella management services across the UK. They are now looking to take on a qualified and hard-working Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber to cover the South Coast. You will be carrying out water sampling, temperature monitoring, deadleg removals, rerouting and replacing pipework duties across Commercial, Industrial and Educational sites. Experience & Qualifications Will have experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer and / or Plumber for a reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella company. Must hold the City and Guilds / NVQ L2 or higher in plumbing. Experience working in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines. Able to work to strict deadlines. Good communication skills. Working on a mixed portfolio of sites carrying out the following L8 compliance duties: Water sampling. Temperature monitoring. TMV servicing and failsafe testing. Deadleg removals. Attending site to carry out fault-finding and ensuring that any issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Flushing of little used outlets. Showerhead cleans and disinfections. CWST cleans and disinfections. Rerouting and replacing of pipework (PVC / Copper). Working in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines. Ensuring to update onsite logbooks upon completion of work.
