Pharmacy Assistant

We have a full-time opportunity for a Dispense Technician / Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly team at Northpharm Tiwi Pharmacy , located within the Royal Darwin Hospital . The Role As part of a supportive and professional team, the Dispense Technician / Pharmacy Assistant will play a key role in preparing medications accurately and efficiently for our patients and partner facilities. Your primary focus will be on packing medication into blister packs and sachets, decanting medications, and organising medication sachets and boxes for delivery. Key Responsibilities Pack and seal medications into blister packs or sachets using automated or manual systems Decant bulk medications into appropriate packaging and ensure accurate labelling Prepare, label, and box up medication sachets for delivery to aged care facilities and community clients Check packed medications for accuracy, quality, and presentation prior to dispatch Assist with maintaining stock levels, including rotation and inventory management Support the dispensary team with administrative and logistical tasks Ensure all packing and storage areas are clean, organised, and compliant with pharmacy standards About You Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent teamwork and communication skills Willingness to undertake training and follow pharmacy procedures and safety protocols Experience in medication packing or working in a community or hospital pharmacy environment highly regarded Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualification highly regarded Previous experience using Webster-packing or sachet systems desirable Northpharm is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to fostering a workplace that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
