The Senior Events Specialist will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact client-facing events across Australia and New Zealand, this role is pivotal in aligning event initiatives with business objectives and account priorities, ensuring exceptional experiences that drive engagement and measurable business outcomes. The position requires strong collaboration with the ANZ business, along with Regional and Global teams, as well as expertise in event logistics, vendor management, and budget control. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with strategic thinking to deliver premium, brand-consistent events that accelerate pipeline growth. Key responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of high-impact client-facing events across ANZ, including executive roundtables, industry forums, road shows, partner conferences and strategic hospitality. Collaborate with Account-Based Marketing (ABM), Sales, and Alliances teams to align event strategies with business objectives and account priorities. Manage end-to-end event logistics including venue sourcing, vendor management, budget tracking, and on-site execution. Develop and implement event marketing plans to drive attendance, engagement, and ROI. Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all event touchpoints. Leverage data and insights to evaluate event performance and continuously improve outcomes. Support internal communications and stakeholder engagement related to event initiatives. Maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and suppliers to deliver premium experiences. To thrive in this role, you need to have: 7+ years of experience in B2B event management, preferably within the technology or professional services sector. Proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile events with measurable business impact. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in event platforms, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and marketing automation systems (e.g., Eloqua). Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment. Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. Desirable: Familiarity with ABM strategies and experience supporting enterprise sales teams. Experience with hybrid and virtual event platforms (e.g., Teams Town Hall) Skilled in stakeholder engagement across senior leadership, sales, alliances, and external partners. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail in event design, branding, and customer experience. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams. Budget management expertise, including forecasting, cost control, and vendor negotiations. Knowledge of compliance and risk considerations in corporate event planning. Academic qualifications and certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or Public Relations or related field. Project management certification(s) would be preferred.
