Overview Charles Sturt University is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Law to join our dynamic team. This position focuses on delivering high-quality teaching across Priestly 11 subjects to undergraduate students via on-campus and online platforms. The role also contributes to the development and delivery of law and criminology courses, ensuring they remain current and relevant. There is a concurrent fixed-term Course Director role offering academic leadership and management for a complex course or group of courses, overseeing curriculum development and quality assurance, accreditation processes and compliance with academic regulations. The dual appointment for the first three years is approximately 45% workload for Lecturer in Law and 55% workload for Course Director (Law and Criminal Justice). The role includes regular international travel to support teaching delivery, partnership development, and research collaboration. Responsibilities Lecturer in Law (Level B) – Continuing, full time Course Director (Law and Criminal Justice) – Concurrent fixed term appointment (up to 3 years) Teach Priestly 11 subjects to undergraduate students, on-campus and online Contribute to development and delivery of law and criminology courses, ensuring currency and relevance Provide academic leadership and management for the course or group of courses, including curriculum development, quality assurance, accreditation, and compliance with academic regulations Industry liaison, marketing, and student advisory processes Lead course teams and contribute to strategic planning for high-quality education and student experience Travel internationally as required to support teaching, partnerships, and research collaboration About you You are an experienced legal academic who is passionate about teaching and leadership.
