Senior Network Engineer – Enterprise Migrations & Automation Location: Sydney, NSW Start Date: ASAP Duration: Initial 6-month contract (high potential for extension) Working Flexibility: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite) Join our Enterprise Migrations team as a Senior Network, where you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing networking constructs that enable seamless application migrations across legacy ASA and next‑gen ACI environments. This is a technical leadership position, not just operational—your expertise will influence design decisions and drive innovation in network automation. You’ll work hands‑on with Cisco ASA, ACI/APIC, and F5 GTM/LTM, ensuring secure, resilient, and high‑performing network designs. Together we enable the connected future. Key Responsibilities Design and implement networking constructs to support enterprise application migrations. Develop canonical role/subnet/service object models and device translation rules for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC. Validate and sign off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments. Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM for traffic distribution and load balancing. Produce runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artefacts for automated pushes. Mentor automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Terraform. Skills & Experience Strong experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC REST/API models. Proven ability in enterprise firewall policy design and execution. Hands‑on expertise with F5 GTM and LTM for high availability and disaster recovery. Proficiency in Python and Terraform for network automation. Solid troubleshooting and capacity planning skills. Familiarity with traffic steering, DNS load balancing, and SSL offloading is advantageous. CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent is desirable. Questions?
