Our Wodonga care home is situated near the NSW/VIC border, in the historic town of Wodonga. It is close to the local community, near the town centre, Murray River, local parks and transport links. It consists of 116 beds, in a one‑storey, wide building, consisting of low and high care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well‑being of our residents. Whilst working shifts as a Carer – Care Companionship, you will bring a “Person First” approach in care planning and assist new residents and their families with the process of settling into the home and transitioning into an aged care setting. You will coordinate the admissions and respond to and assist with queries and concerns from the residents and their family members. You will advise new residents of additional services that are on offer and ensure services are delivered. You will complete meal service with the new residents as part of settling in by escorting them to the dining room and ensure they know how the meal service works. Minimum Certificate 3 qualification in either Ageing, Individual Support, Care or Disability A passion and energy for world‑class care Ability to work as part of a tight‑knit team and delegate effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A strong understanding of Resident Rights, and Aged Care Accreditation Standards and their Outcomes Just so you know, everyone will be required to complete pre‑employment checks as part of the application process.
