At Zimmermann, we are looking for a talented Textile Designer to collaborate closely with our Creative Director and Senior Design team on seasonal artwork development across Ready-to-Wear and Swim & Resort collections. This is a dynamic role where creativity meets technical precision—researching ideas, crafting unique prints, and bringing concepts to life through innovative textile and print designs. If you have a strong eye for colour, texture, and pattern, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we’d love to see your vision come to life with us. Job Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Textile design Previous experience as a textile designer The ability to demonstrate outstanding creative instincts and a distinct point of view through colour, texture and patterns Have strong design and communicative skills Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign skills Immaculate attention to detail Knowledge of current design trends, industry developments and new textile processes Job Responsibilities Collaborate with Creative Director and design team on seasonal concepts Extensively research creative ideas and provide input on the key textile design elements of each season in line with the Creative Director’s vision Creating original purpose-built artworks for Zimmermann seasonal collections under direction from Creative Director that are unique and not derivative Ensure all artworks are created in line with the company standards regarding originality and intellectual property rules Technical preparation of artwork including creating artwork repeats and colour separations Complete placement print designs, engineering to pattern markers Grade and nest placement artworks Adhere to seasonal deadlines Ensure design room is organized, including fabric references, design board and general design room workspace Be part of an iconic Australian luxury brand with a growing international presence Collaborate with a talented, passionate team dedicated to design excellence Access tailored development plans and mentoring from industry leaders Enjoy a generous employee discount and career progression opportunities both locally and abroad Engage in ongoing training within a supportive, creative, and forward-thinking environment Job Benefits Be part of an iconic Australian luxury brand with a growing international presence Collaborate with a talented, passionate team dedicated to design excellence Access tailored development plans and mentoring from industry leaders Enjoy a generous employee discount and career progression opportunities both locally and abroad Engage in ongoing training within a supportive, creative, and forward-thinking environment Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
