Job Description We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Brisbane design team. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver technically excellent designs for engineering projects including civil, WSUD, geotechnical and other specialisations of engineering. Responsibilities Design of multi‑disciplinary complex civil projects, ensuring design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects in line with parameters set out in project scope of works Preparation of construction documentation and specifications for design works Preparing schedules and allocating resources to enable design drawings for engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget Ensuring compliance with specifications, design standards and Australian Codes to enhance quality design Promoting a culture of technical excellence through mentoring and training less experienced designers Supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline Playing an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planning Qualifications Ideally, you will have 7+ years of experience in civil design within a professional services or consultancy environment servicing private and public sector clients across Queensland.
