Behaviour Support Team Leader

genU is looking for a collaborative Behaviour Support Team Leader to provide clinical support and supervision to a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners providing person-centred support to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). What you’ll do Lead a multidisciplinary team of 12, optimising team performance and client outcomes. Reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practice and promote quality of life for those experiencing challenging behaviours. Participate in and contribute to the development of the Allied Health team’s business. Build, strengthen and promote effective, cooperative and positive partnerships and relationships with internal and external providers. Maintain involvement and contact with relevant networks to keep abreast of changes to practice or legislation that impact service delivery. What you’ll bring Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, managing human, financial and physical resources. Working knowledge of NDIS and basic Quality and Safeguarding principles, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Experience planning, implementing and evaluating clinical programs and continuous improvement activities. Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work). Experience working with people with disability or registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS. Registration with AHPRA or an awarding professional body where applicable. Valid Driver’s Licence. (You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – we’ll guide you through this.)
