As we continue to scale nationally, we’re looking for a strong and capable Head of Insurance to lead our general insurance division and elevate the capability of our broker team. About the Role This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced insurance professional who knows how to run a high‑performing team. You’ll be responsible for: Training and developing junior brokers into confident, capable commercial advisors Managing the broker team and lifting overall capability and performance Personally writing the larger, more complex commercial policies Supporting brokers to transition into mid‑market and “big‑ticket” risk placement Ensuring operational excellence through CRM, process, and workflow management Building strong relationships with insurers and underwriting partners If you love coaching people, writing quality business, and building a high-performing insurance team — this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of general insurance brokers Build structured training pathways for junior‑to‑senior progression Oversee complex risk placement and provide technical support Write and close mid‑market and larger commercial policies Drive performance standards, KPIs, and quality outcomes Enhance CRM usage, reporting, and operational discipline Stay on top of debtors and ensure all premiums are paid within 14 days Work with the accounts team to assist with reconciling commission payments Maintain strong insurer relationships and secure competitive outcomes Contribute to growth strategy as Co‑Pilot expands nationally What You’ll Bring 5+ years general/commercial insurance experience Diploma & tier 1 qualified (non‑negotiable – please do not apply if you do not have relevant qualifications) Strong technical capability with complex risks Proven leadership or team‑management experience Ability to coach and uplift junior brokers CRM‑savvy with strong workflow and process discipline Commercial mindset and strong negotiation skills A passion for helping business owners protect and grow what they’ve built Strong understanding of Insight & its reporting function Why Join Co‑Pilot?
