Sunlover Reef Cruises operates daily from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef, visiting Moore Reef and Fitzroy Island daily. We deliver a complete reef tourism experience, including coral viewing tours, guided snorkel tours, scuba diving and a range of other optional tours and packages. We are seeking a dynamic Reservations Sales Consultant to join our award-winning team. You will be a vital first point of contact for our guests, turning enquiries into bookings and creating memorable first impressions. If you have an eye for detail, outstanding customer service skills, and a talent for sales conversion, we want to hear from you Key Skills & Responsibilities Strong attention to detail – accuracy matters here. Excellent customer service – friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. Sales skills – you can recommend the right tour and get the booking locked in. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay organised. Comfortable with booking systems and general computer use. A good team player who also works well independently. Uses initiative and can think on their feet. Position Details This is a casual position (20–35 hours per week) requiring weekend and public holiday work. Flexibility is essential to meet operational needs. Key Selection Criteria You must be based in Cairns and committed to working with us for a minimum of 12 months. (This role is not suitable for first‑year VISA holders seeking to complete their 88 days.) Minimum 2 years’ experience in tourism, reservations, or the hotel industry. Experience with the Respax booking system is highly regarded. Passionate, positive, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. Accurate and detail-focused with data entry. Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages an advantage). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
