We are seeking an experienced Clinician to join a national mental health service supporting veterans and their families. This role sits within a 24 / 7 telephone‑based clinical service providing intake triage risk assessment, immediate support and referrals to specialist and regional teams across Australia. As part of the Client Assist Contact Centre you will be the first point of contact, offering trauma‑informed care and brief interventions in a dynamic and high‑volume environment. You will also contribute to care coordination by liaising with family members, treatment providers and other stakeholders to ensure clients receive timely and effective support. This is a 12‑month contract role with possible extension at the APS6 level and hybrid working arrangements available. Shifts are rostered across 24 hours, 7 days a week. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake triage risk assessments and brief interventions via phone. Provide immediate clinical support and coordinate referrals. Maintain accurate client records and risk management plans. Follow clinical practice policies, ethical guidelines and legislation. Engage in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. About You Qualified Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Counsellor with relevant registration/membership. Experience in mental health service delivery ideally in a phone‑based or high‑volume setting. Strong clinical judgement, interpersonal skills and ability to manage crisis situations. Confident with IT systems and accurate documentation. Requirements Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance. Current Working with Children / Vulnerable People clearance (or ability to obtain). Professional registration with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA. Whats on Offer APS6 level salary and conditions.
