Overview Location: Gympie, Australia. Sector: Medical & Nursing. Salary: Competitive rate. MM3 DPA location. Position Details Job Type: Permanent - Full Time (Open to Part-Time). After Hours Requirements: Yes. Daily after hours on call approximately 1-2 times a month and a weekend on call and Saturday clinic approximately every nine weeks. Practice Information This modern, private billing practice has 9 doctors currently on staff: 6 senior GPs and 3 registrars, along with supportive nursing and admin staff. The Medical Centre is the largest GP practice in Gympie and has been operating since 1999. Industrial medicine is one of the practice’s areas of focus. Position Description Ideally this practice would prefer a fully registered, full-time GP; part-time arrangements are also negotiable. The practice aims to keep GPs happy and flexible working arrangements are available. Doctors on the PEP Pathway are encouraged to apply, as there are experienced supervisory GPs available for training and support. Qualifications & Experience Must be registered with AHPRA Have current medical indemnity insurance Salary Information Percentage of Billings (Negotiable based on experience) About Gympie Gympie is a region of contrasts with beaches, coastlines, hinterlands, rolling hills and abundant nature. It is approximately 40 minutes from Noosa and 1.5 hours from north Brisbane. The Cooloola Coast to the east includes Rainbow Beach, Cooloola Cove and Tin Can Bay. To the west are Kilkivan and Goomeri; to the south are the Mary Valley rural communities. The region covers about 6,898 sq. km with an estimated population near 50,000 and projected growth to about 60,600 by 2036.
