About the Role Join our team as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife Consultant on an ongoing, Part‑time basis to work in the Women’s Health Clinic Service within Monash Women’s. Reporting to the Midwife Manager of Women’s Clinics/Emerald Team within the Women’s & Newborn Program, you will work closely with the Medical Team Lead to monitor clinical outcomes, drive quality and safety initiatives, strengthen governance processes and lead service improvements. Your leadership will help ensure high‑quality care, streamlined service delivery, and optimal outcomes for the women we support. In this role, you will be responsible for triaging and coordinating the care of women attending the Women’s Health Clinic at Clayton, which provides services in pregnancy choices, early pregnancy complication care, contraceptive services as well as management of minor gynaecological conditions. You will oversee the operational and clinical governance of the clinic, ensuring safe, timely, and evidence‑based care, while also leading the delivery of education to support consistent service excellence. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to safe and best‑practice care. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to support Women’s Health services across other satellite locations as needed. Your Specific Responsibilities Triage and coordinate all incoming clinic referrals. Provide trauma‑informed care to women in the community accessing a variety of services. Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of care. Assess clinical practices using research and data analysis to improve health outcomes. Use feedback and incident data to drive service improvements. Lead the development of women’s health guidelines and policies. Contribute to strategic planning, research, and staff development to maintain modern, effective services. Manage and deliver service improvement projects. Produce expert‑level reports and presentations for executive audiences. Apply innovative thinking to solve complex issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure coordinated, patient‑focused care aligned with service goals. To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge: Extensive experience in Women’s Health. Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Strong skills in negotiation, problem‑solving, and analysis. In‑depth knowledge of women’s health services, including applicable standards and clinical guidelines. Skilled in producing high‑level written communications for senior leadership. You are a dedicated and professional leader who demonstrates sound initiative and judgment in your decision‑making and work planning. You are passionate about women’s health and have an intimate understanding of contemporary women’s health issues, a clear customer focus and a commitment to actively promoting family‑centred care.
