Wagga Wagga City Council is seekinga motivated and creative personality to join us as a Graphic Designer within the Communications & Engagement Team. You will assist us to meet the designrequirements for both Council and the city. Permanent, Part-time position (28 hours per week). Remuneration of $2,674.61 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,209.53 gross per fortnight based on part-time hours of work + superannuation (12%). Key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to: Work collaboratively across all areas of Council to develop solutions that meet individual work team goals and the broader communication goals of Council; Ensure graphic design projects are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner and prioritised according to deadlines; Produce effective, brand-aligned creative layouts for deployment across a range of print and digital applications; Actively promote and provide assistance to staff and a range of external stakeholders on the use of Council’s corporate brand and the Wagga Wagga brand identity; and Project manage a range of delegated creative tasks from brief to completion and work in a high volume, high pressure customer service environment. What you will need to succeed: The successful applicant will have: Three (3) or more years industry experience and tertiary qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Bachelor of Design or relevant qualifications; Excellent knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software packages; First‑rate organisation, project management and problem‑solving skills as well as excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills in negotiation, facilitation and presentation; and An ability to work effectively within a team and independently to meet deadlines is essential.
