About this position Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Officer, the Storeperson will join the Stores team at the City’s Operations Centre in Maddington. We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to support the day‑to‑day operations of our Stores Service, including yard‑based operations. This role is ideal for someone who prides themselves on customer service and enjoys contributing to a well‑organised and efficient team. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Collecting, issuing, and receiving stock and bulk materials Operating a forklift and front‐end loader to load/unload deliveries and City vehicles Monitoring and replenishing fuel, chemical, and bulk material stock levels Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised store and yard Completing goods receipting and assisting with stocktakes Supporting general housekeeping and site inspections What we are looking for To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate: Substantial experience operating a front‑end loader and/or forklift Strong attention to safety and detail Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Driver’s licence National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
