Position Overview Flexibility for this role to be filled by more than one person across the working week. Position Title: Uniform Shop Assistant Employment Basis: Part-time, term time only (additional two-weeks at the start of Term One) Hours per Week: Total 15 hours available (with flexibility for additional hours during peak periods). Shifts are set 7:30am–10:30am, with days negotiable for the right candidates. The Role Working mornings from 7:30 – 10:30am, this part‑time Retail Assistant will work in our Uniform Shop, providing exceptional service to students, parents, and staff. You will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operations of our Uniform Shop, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all. Key Responsibilities Deliver outstanding customer service to students, parents, and staff Manage daily shop operations, working independently or as part of a team Process sales transactions in‑person (via TASS) and online (via MySchool Connect) Pack and process online orders efficiently and accurately Assist with stock management, including unpacking, restocking, and conducting stocktakes Fit new students for uniforms and provide guidance on uniform requirements Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Support the Uniform Shop Manager and be willing to act in their absence Selection Criteria Commitment to the Christian ethos and values of St Andrews Lutheran College Demonstrated experience in working in a retail environment with a customer focus Sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks Competence and confidence in using computers and Microsoft Office; willingness to learn TASS and MySchool Connect Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Available weekday mornings 7:30 – 10:30am and willingness to work two weeks prior to the commencement of Term 1 Applicants may express preferred number of days and days of work within the advertised hours Have, or willing to obtain, a Positive Blue Card Application Instructions The ideal candidate will embody our values and actively contribute to our vibrant College community, fostering meaningful relationships across the College.
