We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Teacher to work at an independent school that prides itself on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted, differentiated instruction to small groups of students to support their learning in Literacy, Numeracy, and across a range of other subjects. Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching strategies to support students' individual learning needs and academic goals. Work closely with classroom teachers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly. Assist in the development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and work collaboratively with the wider learning support team. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that builds student confidence and engagement. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and support techniques. The Ideal Candidate: Must have NESA accreditation and WWCC At least 1 year of teaching experience or a background in supporting students with diverse learning needs, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy. A Bachelor's degree in Education (or equivalent) with a specialisation in Primary, Secondary, Special Education, or a related field. Strong knowledge of teaching strategies for diverse learners, with the ability to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
