NES Fircroft are working in partnership with a prominent producer in the Mt Isa and Cloncurry region Mt Isa and Cloncurry region to recruit a Senior Exploration Geologist. This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join a high performing exploration team working across a major base metals district in north west Queensland. The role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and who enjoys taking ownership of exploration programs from target generation through to advanced stages. The role will be offered as a full time/staffed position, on an 8/6 FIFO roster with accommodation, food and other benefits including on-site gym & pool available. Key responsibilities Lead exploration programs across multiple tenements within the Mt Isa Inlier and Cloncurry region Drive geological interpretation, mapping, drill planning and core logging Carry out 3D modelling using Micromine and support spatial analysis through GIS Guide definition drilling programs and contribute to resource development work Integrate geochem, geophysics and structural data to refine targets Mentor junior geologists and support safe and efficient field operations Prepare technical reports, presentations and updates for internal stakeholders About you At least ten years industry experience with a minimum of five years in a senior exploration role Minimum three years experience working in the Mt Isa Inlier or Cloncurry district Background across multiple deposit types, ideally including IOCG, Cu Au or polymetallic systems Strong competency in Micromine and GIS packages Experience in definition drilling or resource development viewed favourably Underground exposure considered an advantage Confident communicator who can lead programs and work collaboratively with multi discipline teams Please note: this position is only available to candidates with current full Australian working rights.
