Overview Finance Systems Analyst – Sydney, Full time, Permanent (Posted 2 Days Ago) Opportunity We currently have an exciting and varied opportunity for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, this role supports the maintenance and improvement of the firm's practice management system, Aderant Expert, and works with other systems that source or impact the data in Aderant. Primary systems used: Aderant Expert – the firm's main financial system including time and billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger Emburse – expense capture system for corporate card transactions Intapp – client and matter opening and workflows for other finance business processes Workday – end-to-end people management Key Responsibilities Take a lead role in the implementation of new Aderant modules or related systems within the firm Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are understood, deliver changes in a timely manner, and ensure that systems meet the business requirements Carry out system testing of all new applications and modifications to existing applications Lead documentation of financial systems processes and controls Provide advice to resolve complex issues Provide design input to system and process changes Provide technical support and business advice for data cleansing in the practice management system Perform ad hoc system tasks such as requests for data extraction and analysis Respond to internal inquiries about system functionality/capabilities Client reporting Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Finance Analyst, or in a similar role in a legal environment Demonstrated ability to understand and work with complex financial systems Ability to provide practical solutions Background in incident resolution Detail-oriented, methodical process, and critical thinking Experience with Aderant Expert or other practice management system (essential) Intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Office (particularly Word) and capability to query and analyze data using Excel (highly desirable) Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server – Transact‑SQL (desirable) Benefits Professional development programs and career growth opportunities World‑class infrastructure and resources, including leading AI platform Harvey Health and wellbeing initiatives supporting physical and mental health Collaborative and inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and fosters belonging Up to 26 weeks' paid parental leave with flexibility over two years, plus paid superannuation Option to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional leave annually How to Apply We prefer to work directly with candidates; if you are interested in this role, please click the 'Apply' button or contact the consultant below for more information.
