Executive Officer – Botanic Gardens of Sydney Ongoing Full Time Opportunity located at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney with hybrid / flexible working supported Clerk Grade 11 / 12 - Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $139,787 to $161,663 + super Botanic Gardens of Sydney is the registered business name of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, which is established under the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust Act 1980. The organisation encompasses Australia’s premier botanical research institute, Sydney’s leading outdoor live entertainment and activation precinct, and three world-leading botanic gardens and international tourism destinations. Our Executive Officer role leads the delivery of high quality executive administrative, secretariat, and governance services for the Office of the Chief Executive, working closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Executives to support the operations of Botanic Gardens of Sydney, and provides timely executive coordination, communication, and professional support to the Chief Executive. You will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, bringing your expertise in Board governance and working closely with the Trust. You will have high level skills in managing briefing notes, liaison with Minister’s Office, Advisory Committees and the Audit and Risk Committee. You have a genuine passion for providing outstanding high quality executive administrative and secretariat services, have excellent communication skills, and a natural problem solver. You will play a crucial part in driving strategic initiatives that shape Botanic Gardens of Sydney’s future, and will work on projects that require high-level coordination. Precision is key for this role; you will bring your high level of written, organisational, administrative and coordination skills including ability to plan and prioritise work with minimal supervision. You will have the ability to anticipate and address contentious issues and provide accurate advice on complex issues, often within tight timeframes, by collecting and assimilating information from a variety of different sources whilst maintaining confidentiality and exercising diplomacy.
