Program Manager / Team Leader - Disengaged Youth Mount Isa, QLD Are you a passionate leader who thrives on making a difference in the lives of young people? We're seeking a skilled and motivated Team Leader to oversee a dynamic learning program in Mount Isa, designed to re-engage young people aged 10-16 who have been involved in the youth justice system and are disengaged from mainstream schooling. *This role offers relocation assistance and up to 4 weeks of shared accommodation to help the successful applicant transition into the community. About the Program This innovative, holistic program brings together a dedicated team of educators, youth workers, and family support specialists to deliver small-group learning and wraparound support. Each class supports just 10 young people, ensuring personalised attention and strong pathways back into education, training, or employment. The Role As Team Leader, you'll : Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services. Ensure program outcomes meet contractual and stakeholder expectations. Build strong relationships with local communities, services, and stakeholders. Manage operational requirements, including rostering, compliance, and reporting. Champion the rights, voices, and wellbeing of young people in the program. About You You're an experienced leader with a background in youth work, education, or allied fields, and you have : Demonstrated experience working with young people in contact with the youth justice system, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Ensure compliance with service agreements, policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams. Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative leadership style. Relevant tertiary qualifications in behavioural sciences, education, or related discipline.
