Speech Pathologist - Grade 1 or 2 Up to Full Time (80 hrs per fortnight with ADO) Parental Relief position from October 2025 to October 2026. This position is suitable for 1 full time applicant or is possible to job share for 2 part time applicants. Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Urgent Care, Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services. Colac Area Health has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our team. This position would suit those entering the workforce, returning from parental leave, or a current Grade 1 Speech Pathologist who is looking for Grade 2 experience. The Speech Pathology team at Colac Area Health provides services across the continuum of care, including aged care, acute and outpatients. This role is predominately focused on our paediatric service, providing assessment and therapy to children below school age. The newly developed Paediatric Clinic at Colac Area Health incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to paediatric care, involving allied health, medical and nursing support. This role also includes supporting our onsite urgent care and acute ward adult patients who present with dysphagia or communication difficulties. The acute ward covers surgical, medical and palliative care admissions with 28 beds. What's required? Degree in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia. Current Driver's Licence. Ability to work independently, and to collaborate and work as part of a team. Effective interpersonal skills (including written and verbal communication skills) with clients and colleagues Ability to use IT systems, including electronic medical records, efficiently A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous quality improvement Experience managing a paediatric caseload, including delivering a paediatric group treatment program Experience supervising Grade 1 clinicians, Allied Health Assistants and/or students Experience in an acute setting as a clinician Formal Hanen and/or Lidcombe Program training Videofluroscopy/FEES competency Applications will be assessedupon submission.
