About the Role Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is committed to supporting everyone to be healthy and live well. Our Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health team provides patient‑centered care across rehabilitation, oncology, palliative care, aged care, and acute wards. We are seeking a qualified Inpatient Social Worker to join our team. This is our preferred appointment; however, consideration will be given to applicants for the Inpatient Social Work Assistant role who demonstrate strong skills, appropriate qualifications and a commitment to person‑centered care. Inpatient Social Worker (Preferred Role) As a Social Worker, you will deliver comprehensive assessment, care planning, and discharge coordination, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support holistic care and advocate for patient rights. Bachelor or Master of Social Work Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of community resources and care coordination principles Inpatient Social Work Assistant In this supportive role, you will assist Social Workers with practical tasks, paperwork, and patient discharge planning, helping patients and families navigate care transitions. Diploma in Community Services, Welfare, or equivalent Excellent administration and communication skills Ability to work in a dynamic team environment Empathy and initiative in supporting patients with complex needs Why Work at ERH?
