Logistics Manager - Experienced in Shed Construction Shed House Australia is the designer & supplier of architectural Kit homes across the east coast of Australia. Using a proprietary framing system we have developed, our homes are constructed by our network of registered builders / owner builders & we are growing rapidly. The role This full-time Logistics Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of kit components from our network of suppliers across Australia to our clients. In this position, you will be responsible for: Overseeing all logistics operations, from placement of orders with suppliers, to coordination of transportation & delivery to our client’s sites. Serve as the key point of contact to trouble shoot on-site shed framing construction queries. Your expertise in production, procurement, planning & scheduling within the manufacturing, transport & logistics industry will be instrumental in driving efficiency & ensuring our supply chain is performing & we are exceeding client expectations. What you'll be doing Coordinating all aspects of logistics including implementing logistical strategies to optimise operational efficiency & certainty from ordering through to tracking manufacturing & delivery of kit components from our suppliers. We do not store inventory & leverage key relationships with an existing supply network who manufacture our Kit components on order & you will need to ensure strong relationships with our core suppliers is maintained to track production & delivery timings from placement of orders. Update our supply costing database as required to maintain accurate pricing files using our proprietary software for creation of purchase orders & bills of materials. Checking bills of materials & obtaining/checking glazing quotes against approved architectural documentation & placing orders with the supply network to ensure timely delivery consistent with suppliers lead times. Liaising with suppliers, carriers, & our clients to coordinate accurate & timely delivery & to resolve any issues. Manage the logistics component of our CRM database, analyse data & generate reports to track key performance metrics. Identifying procurement opportunities for realisation of cost savings from both within our existing supply chain & as we expand our offering to clients over time. What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience in a Logistics / Supply Chain Management role, ideally in the housing (traditional, modular or kit construction typologies) or shed construction industry. Existing relationships / experience in dealing with our major supply partner, Stramit, will be considered favourably. Strong understanding of production, planning, & scheduling practices to ensure Kit components are supplied in full relative to bills of materials & glazing orders. Excellent project management & problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify & implement creative solutions. Experience with logistics / supply chain management software systems that could be implemented by the business to improve tracking, certainty & QA. Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
