We are located close to the Hunter Valley and Newcastle. We currently open 5 days a week – 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with future plans to open 8am‑12noon on Saturday. Our clinic is fast growing, and we are looking for a casual nurse to join our team. This role would be a mix of both nursing and reception duties. Qualifications & Experience Veterinary Nurse Certificate IV required. Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience preferred. Excellent time‑management and organisational skills. The ability to multi‑task, remain calm under pressure and manage a high‑volume workload. High attention to detail and the ability to work towards deadlines. Great rapport building with both colleagues, clients, and the community. Maintain competency in key areas of nursing as required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tasks & Responsibilities Coordinating clinic admission and post‑operative care. Adhering to strict policies and procedures. Carrying out medical and surgical nursing routine, including nursing consultations. Efficient patient record keeping. Upholding and maintaining a high level of effective patient care. Upholding and maintaining the set foundations relating to strict surgical conduct. Managing multiple incoming telephone lines and providing face‑to‑face customer service. Being the first point of contact for clients and ensuring an exceptional client experience across all touch points. Greeting clients and organising waiting room workflow. Booking appointments and day‑to‑day schedule management. Product sales and client education. Taking payments and reconciling end of day. Liaison between clients and the clinical team.
