Supervise a small team to ensure delivery of an effective and safe work environment, including after‑hours and weekend on‑call duties, maintenance and repairs. Consult, liaise, influence and negotiate with contractors and stakeholders on capital projects and maintenance programs to deliver quality, on‑time, and on‑budget results. Assist in the development and implementation of business plans for the provision of facilities. Assist in the development and implementation of a risk management program including workplace health and safety, fire management and waste management. Contribute to the Research Facility quality assurance and recording systems. Implement facility operational and resource plans including service, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, water supply and distribution, animal welfare in accordance with animal ethics standards for project and operational purposes. Build and maintain networks and consultative relationships to foster good working relationships with key stakeholders. Contribute positively to an environment that values integrity, performance, superior client service, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services. Respect the scientific integrity of RD&E projects and activities in relation to maintenance and project enhancement construction by rigid adherence to scientific protocols and quality assurance principles. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications, Registrations, Experience) Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a maintenance environment. Ability to work in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Capacity to provide after‑hours on‑call alarm response. Required for the Role Elevated work platform licence or the ability and willingness to acquire. Confined spaces entry certificate or the ability and willingness to acquire.
