About the Role We are looking for people who are reliable and want to grow their skills to join our team either in our Roofing or Truss & Frame manufacturing sites as Fabricator/ Labourer. These are hands on full time or casual opportunities for the right people who want to work as part of a team producing high quality products. Responsibilities Having the right attitude and being physically fit with a desire to learn, prior experience working with sheet metal or timber trusses / frames is highly desirable, however not essential it’s a great opportunity for someone who is keen and reliable. Folding, cutting and roll forming roofing materials (Roofing Fabricator) Cutting and assembling frames and trusses (Truss & Frame Worker) Assess stock requirements and job prioritisation Ensure jobs are completed accurately within a timely manner Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions. Safety mindset Picking orders and general yard work Qualifications & Skills Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and manually handle goods High awareness of site safety and duty of care for yourself, teammates and site visitors Ability to learn new skills and understand instructions Enjoyment of manual labour and getting your hands dirty Experience with hand tools advantageous Manual Vehicle Licence Forklift Licence (LF) Advantageous Perks Ongoing training with plenty of opportunities for people with the right attitude Uniform provided, so you can look the part Job security from a long-standing respected employer in the Cairns region Staff and Fuel discount schemes offered Everyone gets paid to take a day off for their birthday EAP - Employee Assistance Program PLEASE NOTE We are an equal opportunity employer with a zero tolerance to Drugs and Alcohol in the workplace and conduct regular random workplace testing.
