About the Role:
Design, implement and automate continuous integration and delivery services for digital products and services via the ABC’s streaming media platforms and APIs to serve web and mobile clients that align with ABC strategy and objectives.
Key Accountabilities:

Under broad direction of technical lead, build and support cloud-based media transcoding and delivery services for ABC content.
Create and maintain accessible technical documentation.
Working with Product delivery teams to implement effective and efficient cloud-based automation solutions. Apply DevOps practices to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting digital products.
Improve product reliability and quality by integrating monitoring, reporting and fault handling into platforms.
In collaboration with Agile teams, participate in planning and review meetings, and contribute to the management of projects to ensure project deliverables are completed within an agreed delivery time.
Actively promote the ABC values and apply all relevant workplace policies and guidelines.
Cooperate with any reasonable instruction, procedure or policy relating to safety and take reasonable care of your own safety and that of other people who may be affected by your conduct while at work.

About You:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications, and/or skills, knowledge and experience on the Internet and media industries.
Enterprise experience developing services in Node JS and open to learn Golang, if no prior experience
Experience developing complex, secure, and high-performance software for a range of platforms and devices at scale.
Demonstrated outstanding knowledge and experience in assessing, selecting, and using modern frameworks and build tools, implementing automated/unit testing, and version control branching, merging and versioning strategies.
Experience developing highly available services in cloud and technologies such as containerized applications and serverless processes.
Ability to write high quality and testable code.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to foster an open and creative approach to development that shares ideas, skills, and knowledge across teams.
Good to have: Media transcoding or streaming (audio or video) experience using AWS Media services
