About the Role As our Resource Allocator, you’ll be the glue that connects our crews, clients, and operations — ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll be part of a supportive team, where every day brings something different. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating daily scheduling of employees, equipment, and resources Managing bookings and accurately entering details into internal and client systems Acting as the go-to person for our team — providing support and helping balance operational needs Monitoring employee performance, conducting assessments, and assisting with training Managing inboxes, phones, and admin systems to keep the operation running smoothly Tracking availability, hours, inductions, and feedback to maintain compliance Liaising with clients, Leading Hands, and Service Delivery teams to deliver seamless service Being part of an on-call roster to troubleshoot and resolve issues when needed Responding to booking requests and enquiries in a friendly, professional manner Living and promoting Retro’s core values every day About You You’re a confident communicator, a natural problem solver, and thrive on making things happen. You love working with people — and know how to stay calm and professional when things get busy. You’ll also bring: At least 12 months’ experience in traffic management (and good local knowledge of the Sydney area) Previous experience in scheduling, rostering, or workforce coordination Excellent communication and listening skills A genuine ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients A people‑first mindset with a fair and balanced approach Strong organisational and multitasking skills The ability to stay calm, think clearly, and adapt quickly under pressure A proactive attitude — you don’t just spot problems, you solve them About Retro Traffic For over 30 years, Retro Traffic has led the way in traffic management across NSW, earning a reputation for professionalism, safety, and team culture.
