Better Pool & Irrigation Supplies – Maitland NSW We’re on the lookout for a full time Retail Manager to help lead our team and keep the shop running like clockwork. You’ll be in the shop with the crew, making sure customers are looked after, the store’s looking great, and the day runs smoothly from open to close. This isn’t a desk job – it’s all about being present, leading and supporting the team, and creating a friendly space for customers and staff alike. You’ll report directly to the owner manager, who’ll support and guide you in strengthening your leadership skills, building confidence in managing your team effectively, and handling the lively chaos that is a pool shop in summer. What You’ll Be Doing Keep the store tidy, stocked, and looking its best. Deliver friendly, helpful customer service and handle any issues as they come up. Help train and guide team members so everyone’s working well together. Manage daily task lists, staff breaks, and ensure staff presence in the shop. Keep things safe, positive, and running smoothly day to day. What We’re After Experience in a supervisory role or someone who is a natural leader. Confident leading a small team and setting a great example. Strong people skills and a down‑to‑earth attitude. Be able to manage customer expectations – focusing on solutions, not drama. Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure. Good at reading the room. Understands the difference between individual and collective accountability and acts accordingly. Additional Requirements / Information Experience in pool, irrigation, plumbing, or hardware environments is an advantage. Uniforms will be provided.
