Job DescriptionThe Security Offer is responsible for the safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors and employeesWhat is in it for you:*benefit available for fulltime or part time employees while being a part of the Fairmont Orchid ‘ohanaPremium preferred provider medical/drug/vision benefits at competitive prices*We put you first & value you with employer paid coverage for group life and accidental insurance coverage ($25,000) + Coverage is available for your ‘ohana*We believe that hospitality has the power to unlock a better tomorrow with our 401(k)/retirement saving plan & matching programDon’t just live in the moment – own your moment with 15 paid holiday/personal days per year + 10 days of paid vacation that begin accruing immediately*We are globetrotters taking advantage of our Travel Program with employee discounts at Accor properties + Friends & Family rates*We go the extra mile by offering 50% discounts at hotel restaurants, 30% discount on retail items at our Fairmont Store & 30% discount of services offered in our Spa Without WallsComplimentary meals in our employee dining facilityWhat you will be doing:Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.Answer house calls, assist guests and employees with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reportsInitiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contactsMaintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interactionAssist supervisor in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closelymonitoring security of building doors, service areas and delivery areasBe well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency proceduresMaintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all timesPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Relevant security experience or additional education in law enforcement is an assetAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesGood reading, writing and oral proficiency in English languageAbility to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage (‘Olelo Hawai’i/Ilocano/Tagalog)Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a teamDetailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Safety & Security (Hawaii Guard License)Additional certification(s) in Safety & Security will be an advantage (First Aid, CPR, AED)Valid Driver’s License
