Bush Regenerator Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated Team Leader to manage and inspire our field teams in delivering exceptional bush regeneration and restoration projects. In an onsite capacity. Muru Mittigar proudly incorporates traditional Cultural practices into our regenerative efforts wherever possible and appropriate. This includes engaging in Cultural Burns as part of our dedication to Caring for Country. The position requires a good fitness level and suitability to undertake various heavy work requirements within the role such as brush cutting woody weeds, bending, lifting, standing and working in areas of thick bushland. The role includes (but not limited to) Brush cutting Tree planting Hedging Mowing Weed removal and control Herbicide application Seed Collection (when required) Use of small plant and equipment Watering (when required) Mulching (when required) The role can be challenging and repetitive but is extremely rewarding in providing ongoing environmental work. Skills and experience The following attributes are essential Prepare detailed mapping and reporting to support project delivery Lead and supervise bush regeneration teams to ensure project goals are met Conduct detailed plant identification and provide guidance on best practices in ecological restoration Foster a positive team culture, ensuring communication is clear and effective Oversee and ensure safe and effective chemical application (as required) An interest in the Natural Environment At least 3 years relevant experience AQF3 Chemical Application Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Working with children's check (or willingness to obtain) Class C Driver's License and own transport A willingness and ability to listen and follow instructions Applicant would need to be physically fit as heavy lifting is involved A willingness to undertake a medical assessment Ability to work quickly and efficiently Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (CLM) or Conservation and Ecosystem Management (CEM) Advanced chemical application and spraying skills Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. + Superannuation #J-18808-Ljbffr
