We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1 or higher) Electrical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. No two days are the same in this role which is essential to the success of the project. We are looking for skilled engineers who are keen to grow their career within a leading Defence supplier.

This role will see you play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for next-generation defence technologies. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and functionality of electrical systems. Based in Canberra, you will be involved in this watercraft project to strengthen the ADF’s amphibious capabilities.

What will I be doing day to day?

Provide planning advice and guidance on Seaworthiness Assurance and Certification activitiesManage Facilities Integration Request for Information responsesTechnical Subject Matter Expert advice to develop the Design contract and Prime Acquisition Contract Statement of Work, Data Item Descriptions and RFT Packages.Support the development of the Function and Performance SpecificationsSupport Technical Tender Evaluation Working GroupsReview of contract deliverables and identification of technical risksObtain Delegated Technical Authority under Landworthiness

What sort of skills do I need?

Experience within a Defence Maritime environmentBachelor’s degree of Electrical EngineeringExperience in Defence Acquisition or Sustainment projects (desirable)Strong communication skillsProcess orientated with good attention to detailHold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
