Position: Assistant Farm Manager The role is based at a 490 ha dairy farm in Woolsthorpe, about 20 minutes from Warrnambool, South West Victoria. The farm milks 850 cows in an 80‑bale rotary shed with ACRs and auto‑teat spray, with 70 % autumn and 30 % spring calving. Accommodation is provided in a three‑bedroom property, and partner employment opportunities may be available on nearby farms. Key responsibilities Support the farm manager as second in charge. Drive and uphold animal health and safe operating procedures. Manage herd and nutrition: calving, hospital herd care, AI/mating planning, dairy shed work and more. Oversee irrigation and pasture management. Supervise staff. Operate machinery. Conduct repairs and maintenance. Qualifications & skills Extensive dairy industry experience required for this management role. Tertiary qualification(s) in Agriculture or a related field desirable. Committed to ensuring a safe workplace. Reliable, punctual, and able to take responsibility. Good work ethic and positive attitude. Leadership skills and team‑player mindset.
